Our range of indoor antennas is the quickest and easiest way to improve the range of your WiFi network.
Replace the antenna on your router or access point
Standard fit antennas are typically 2dBi Gain. A 5dBi antenna represents a 100% increase in signal strength, 7dbi 200% etc.
Replace the antenna on your PCI card
Desktop PC's are typically fitted with a 2dBi antenna. The increase in signal strength by fitting a 5dBi antenna is 100%.
For greater performance we would recommend using one of the freestanding omni antenna in order to be able to position it away from the metal casing of the desktop PC.
*maximum transmit power for WiFi networks in the UK is 20dBm. Most routers and pci cards have a TX power of 15dBm, adding a 5dBi gain antenna is within the permissable limit. Some routers have adjustable TX power which allows fitment of a higher gain antenna. Please contact us if you have any questions.
